Second Grade

Week of February 6-10

Reminders:

  • 100 day is Wednesday
  • Field trip to Gymnastics center in Mars Hill on Thursday
  • Math and Phonics test on Tuesday. Spelling test on Friday. 
We have a fun week planned in 2nd grade! On Tuesday we will be visiting the new school store. I have store money to hand out as I witness extraordinary behaviors within our class. Wednesday, we will be celebrating 100 day. I will be incorporating the number 100 into many of our daily activities and we will make a necklace from Froot Loops. Thursday we will be heading to the Gymnastics center in Mars Hill to learn about gymnastics and why Noah loves it so much!

  • In math this week we will be learning Roman Numerals 13-30, the 14 subtraction family and multiplication terms. 

 

  • We will continue to learn about our state and about the continents in Social Studies.

 

  • Phonics:We will be writing about our school this week, learning the difference between 'write and right' and working with contractions.

 

  • In Bible, we will finish talking about Elisha and the miracles he performed. Mid-week, we will move onto the story of Daniel. There will be an oral Bible test on Friday over the Romans Road verses.
